On-line booking system

Booking a visit to Ecton is very simple but, before you start, it would be a very good idea to have a look at: Visits to Ecton - Using the Documentation

Step 1: Choose a date for the visit from the availability dates below. Dates which are completely coloured are not available while partially coloured dates are available for parties less than 12 in total. Blocks in red or blocks with no date are not generally available for visits.

Step 2: Complete the Booking form and Invoice (downloadable pdf form). Print the invoice and send in to your finance department to facilitate payment. Save the booking form and invoice and return them as instructed on the form.

Step 3: Have a look at the documents listed under Visits to Ecton - Documentation

Your request will be entered in the booking system and you will be contacted shortly thereafter by the allocated tutors for your visit.  Then you will need to:

After your Tutor contacts you:

Check that the invoice has been paid, complete the Visitor Information form, print it, get the safety form signed and bring the completed form with you to Ecton.

After the visit, complete the Feedback Form and e-mail it to Bob Thompson.

Completing the on-line Booking form

Clicking on: Visits to Ecton - Booking form & Invoice should automatically open the form in Acrobat Reader (preferably Version 8.0) or Acrobat if you have it.  Fill in all the information and then save the form. (You will need to give it a name, preferably with your institution name involved, and you will need to remember the folder name where it is saved.)

Open your e-mail programme, copy and paste the addresses below into the address box, attach your saved booking form and send it back to us.  You should hear from the allocated Tutor very shortly thereafter.

Reminders

As you wade through the documentation you will constantly be reminded of two issues:

Clothing - Ecton Hill can be cold and wet, even in summer.  Make sure your party is properly equipped,  particularly with waterproof footwear with treaded soles - normal shoes and “fashion” trainers will not work.

Worksheets:  Make sure each visitor has a copy of the appropriate worksheets for the visit.
